Amel Abdellatif newly joins Sonatrach board of directors


The newly appointed director-general of the DGI (General Directorate of Taxes), Amel Abdellatif, has just landed a seat on the prestigious board of Sonatrach, according to information relayed by the site specialized in economic intelligence Africa Intelligence.

Amel Abdellatif, who was appointed head of this institution last February succeeding Kamel Aissani sacked, meanwhile, “sacked” after one year of service, is currently making a meteoric rise in the ranks of senior officials Algerians. A graduate of the Koléa Customs and Tax Economics Institute, she held the position of Deputy Director of Litigation at the DGI.

In addition, this appointment confirms the turmoil that is taking place at the moment within the national hydrocarbon company Sonatrach, after the arrival of the new CEO, Toufik Hakkar, in February 2020.
